Duties and responsibilities

-To review physician orders for dialysis patient’s.

-To collect pre treatment dialysis data and reviews patient records prior to dialysis.

-To conducts pre dialysis patient acessment including obtaining patient vital signs

and assessing patient‘s vascular assess, laboratory finding‘s and the patient‘s

general health.

-To connect patient to dialysis machine to start dialysis and disconnect when dialysis

end.

-To support patient with end stage kidney disease(ESRD) by spend more time and

develop closer relationships with them.

-To counseling patient with ESRD in order to maintain their physical well

being,psychosocial and mental health.

-To educate ESRD patient on how to improve their health care behavior such as

exercise, nutritional diet, health care seeking tendency and adherence, awareness

about health issues and policies.

Duties and responsibilities

I Work in three departments as follows:-

Out patient department

-To assist patient for ultrasonography i.e TVS, per abdominal US

-To administer prescribed injections i.e IVF injections.

In patient department

-To provide pre & post operative care to patient i.e taking patient vital signs.

-To administer IV medications & fluids, IM injections and sublingual medications

-To turn patient positions so as to maintain their comfortability.

-To aid patient to do post operative exercise.

-To ambulate patient.

Operative theater

-To assist in laparoscopic surgeries, IUI procedures, Ovum pickup, embryo

transfer.

-To counsel patients to focus on a goal or outcome.

-To develop strategies that support self-care.

-To enable patients and their families to take responsibility for and participate in

decisions about their health and fertility health.
